Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th each year and is a time to recognize and thank each and every individual who has served in the United States Armed Forces. This Veterans Day I want to extend my sincere gratitude to those who’ve served and provide you with some valuable education, resources and freebies.

Veterans Day History

The Department of Veterans Affairs provides an extensive history of Veterans Day on their site. You may also be interested to read the story and background of the red poppy, a symbol dating back to WWI. And if you are curious about Veteran statistics, you will enjoy the National Center for Veterans Analysis and Statistics page where they offer a number of maps, graphs and statistics.

Veterans Benefits

You can access the Veterans Benefits Administration on their website and login to eBenefits to apply for and manage benefits and health information.

If you are interested in utilizing your VA Home Loan Benefits I’d be more than happy to set up a time to talk with you about properties that would meet your needs. I can also connect you with a lender with VA loan knowledge and experience.

Veterans Day Discounts and Freebies

A number of national chains offer free or discounted meals to Veterans on or around Veterans Day. An extensive, but not all inclusive list can be found here. Retailers nationwide also offer a host of discounts. And finally, there are a number of travel and recreational deals available.

To all who have served, I extend my greatest appreciation.

Thank you for your service.
